Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari
Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is a world class conservation project. It is 30 minute drive to the southern enclosure where there is an interactive information centre and walks.

Arapuni Suspension Bridge
The 152 metre suspension bridge was built in the mid 1920s for workers to access the power station. It provides stunning views of the Waikato River. Located in Arapuni - a 20 minute drive.

Waikato River Trails
There are sections of walking and/or cycling trails along the Waikato River. The most accessible sections being Karapiro and Arapuni.

Hobbiton
Get your Lord of the Rings fix. Hobbiton can be reached in a 30 minute drive.

Lake Karapiro
A 15 minute drive toward Cambridge will take you to Lake Karapiro, which stages a variety of sporting and cultural events.

Located in Arapuni, Rhubarb Cafe is a great place to stop if you're visiting Sanctury Mountain, the Waikato River Trails and Arapuni Swing.
